Hydro-Sure Limited
Services.
Legionella risk assessments.
Hydro-Sure consultants have a wide range of experience in the water hygiene field, carrying out legionella risk assessments for both public and private sector organisations. We aim to offer a professional and competitive service when carrying out risk assessments that will comply to L8 (Approved Code of Practice).
We also offer a client tailored service which can include TVC (Total viable count) sampling, legionella sampling (using a UKAS accredited laboratory), isometric schematics and monitoring of water systems.
Legionella risk audits.
To find out where you stand and what is required of your organisation it may be necessary to carry out a risk audit to find out what systems you need to have in place. If you already have management systems, risk assessments and/or log books we can offer a full risk audit of these systems and provide a detailed report explaining any areas that need improvement.
Sampling.
To find out the condition of your water systems TVC (Total viable count) sampling can help give an overview of the cleanliness of these systems and whether any further action is required. Legionella sampling should only be undertaken if there is a significant concern over these systems or if the end user's susceptibility is of a high risk (Healthcare premises, immuno-suppressed patients, head and neck cancer patients etc).
Schematics
In L8 (Approved Code of Practice) it is a requirement that system and distribution schematics are produced. Using AutoCAD we can produce detailed system and distribution isometric schematics which detail the pipework configuration of hot and cold water systems and the areas of the building which particular systems serve.
Legionella training.
We can offer two types of legionella training;
1) An overview on legionella and Legionnaire's Disease with information on the legal requirements and management systems.
2) A technical training session for site managers on what is required at a site level (temperature records, flushing of little used outlets etc)
Scalding assessments.
Certain members of the population are more vulnerable to high temperature water and radiant surfaces than others (Children under the age of 5, the elderly, healthcare patients and mentally disabled persons). We offer a scalding assessment service that will highlight problem areas and recommend remedial actions.
